Who are we ?
We are HANNA BERNHARD PARIS jewelry designers, husband and wife. We have two passions : creating jewelry and hunting treasures in fleas around the planet for our customers and our own collections.
Our jewelry -mostly rhinestone jewelry actually but a 'French bakelite' jewelry line will be created soon-, is shown in several collectors books that have come out this year : 'Costume jewelry figurals' by Kathy Flood and more recently in 'Collecting christmas tree pins' by same author. Our rhinestone jewelry has become collectible through the years, and is repesented in serious collectors' collections, such as Barbara Berger and Iris Apfel, both well known in the jewelry world for their sophisticated taste and famous exhibitions of their collections. In Paris, the 'Art Decorative Museum' exhibits Barbara Berger, and the New York Metropolitan Museum of Arts exhibits Iris Apfel, to name two of them.

ABOUT OUR LEA STEIN JEWELRY COLLECTION :
Some customers know us for our Lea Stein jewelry collection, a part of it has been shown in the book 'LEA STEIN JEWELRY' by Judith Just.
Judith Just has contacted me several years ago and asked for some pictures to be published in the book that she was writing about French artist. So I took some of my pieces and shot them at the country side on our garden table and sent them to Judy. I was surprised then to discover that Editor had chosen one of them for the cover of the book, with 3 butterfly pins, he said this picture was 'very dramatic' :) I have been told that some of you think that I am Lea Stein's daughter: I am not, we are just neighboors so I know her work quite well, I used to spend hours at her place, talking and looking at her beauties, past and present.
 I haven't had time to work on it yet because our own site is brand new, but I will create a 'LEA STEIN MUSEUM' on this site, including informations, many pictures of rare pieces, pictures of fakes etc. This 'museum' will be regularely updated, and if there are some pictures that you wish to share with other collectors, you are welcome to submit them through email at hanna.bernhard@french-bakelite.com
